Here is the situation. I usually elk hunt in the centennials, (327) I recently changed jobs and that change will allow me much more hunting time in future years. But is cutting me short this year. So this year I took a day off before Thanksgiving and after figuring travel time will only have 3 full days hunting, with the time crunch for this year I am mainly concerned with getting meat in the freezer. I have been looking at different units to see if something appears to to be a little closer or maybe an easy cow. but am reluctant to jump into an area I don't know well. Bottom line would you stick with the area you know well or try an unknown area that theoretically might have more meat in the freezer potential. I intend to keep hunting the area in 327 in future years .so I value all additional scouting opportunities in the area.

Thanks Guys I will stick with 327. If I don't get anything at least I have some more scouting done. Thanks for keeping me on the right track.
