Does anyone use a home freeze-dryer?
Facebook suggested that a page and it piqued my interest. https://harvestright.com/
The economics isn't there for 1 guy as they are priced around $3300-3500 but it seems the price is dropping enough that a large family or very serious backpacker couple make use of one. It sure would be nice to freeze dry a meal that actually tastes good compared to some of those Mtn House meals that are questionable at best.
I've done homemade dehydrated meals with limited success and ground meat turns to gravel which is next to impossible to rehydrate.
