I have nothing against Howa rifles, I've shot 2 different ones but I've never owned one. They seem perfectly fine to me. I guess my point is that nothing about them particularly stands out to me. No different than a Remington, Savage, Ruger, etc.. in my mind. I've never seen one that I thought looked particularly nice. They fit well(for me) and shoot well, which is the important part. I showed one to my wife, who is looking for a new rifle, she didn't care for it. A lot of people(myself included at times) prefer to buy American made products. I do like the fact that they sell barreled actions, I think that's cool.
