Holy Crap!

I remember the first time I threw together a savage prefit. Even though I knew I had it put together to spec by everything I had read I still ran my left hand over the rear of the bolt thinking it might be that extra buffer if it blows up from things flying thru my face. After 10 or so shots I got a little more comfortable that I had done it right.

Fwiw that 50 sure as hell didn’t look as stout as a Barrett.

He said it might have been old milsurplus. Probably a reason the mil ammo has a shelf life and old stuff gets cycled through ranges. Im not a chemist but I bet those powders were beyond Shelf life and broke down. I wonder if that rifle had a proof load fired from the factory

Is it the threaded sewer pipe end cap you are referring to? Lol

He said it can handle about 85k psi.

Modern bolts top out around 120kpsi & have multiple safeties built in (locking lugs, gas ports, etc).

This gun has a screw cap & two rabbit ears that sheared off cutting a major artery & almost going through his head.

He's a lucky son of a gun.

Has me wondering how well a Barrett would have handled that shell.

Yikes!!! Lucky Lucky Lucky. I been watching that guy on and off for awhile now. Makes some cool content.

Was that an angel I saw sitting on his shoulder?????? 😳!
