There are probably some folks watching GunBroker so they know where to set prices. It makes no sense for nosler to sell at $40 a box when Chad is going to buy every box he can and resell at $100.

Fly in the ointment is that ammo is made by batch. In the vein of macro economics - is ammo perfectly elastic or does it violate it? The demand of a perfectly elastic good is (I assume negatively) impacted by even small changes in price. Ammo keeps going up and people just keep buying more for various reasons. Is ammo elastic or inelastic?
(I'm not an economist)
A reloading kit doesn’t do you any good if you don’t have the components.Shouldn’t have sold your reloading stuff! Lol
As a .308 owner used to being laughed at for the poor ballistics, at least I can still find ammo at "reasonable" prices. Even nosler ammo.Fly in the ointment is that ammo is made by batch.
For instance, might be a hard to find .280 ackley right now, but that's because no one has done a run in 2 years. In 6 months they might do one and then that ammo might sit on the shelves for years.
Every where I've been this year had gobs of .308...
My rifle likes core lokt. I’ve heard good things about the new core lokt tipped ammo.Go buy some core loks for $35.00, go practice, and kill an elk. These custom rounds are a bunch of bs. Better yet go handload.
sounds like a net loss for you too, at least if you like drinking beer there. As consumers the only thing we can do to combat inflation is to consume less and make sure that you personally represent a net loss to the company. I'm doing that in all areas of spending these days. Example the local brewery raised the price of a pint from $5 to $7 (!). So I only drink one instead of two. Net loss for the business.
It is in a way. It requires discipline. I drink a glass of water instead while conversing with my friends as usual. Then drink a second beer at home if I want one. A cheap one! I dunno what else to do, if you have a better strategy than just continuing to spend into oblivion I'd like to hear it. I'm convinced a lot of these businesses are just jacking up prices because they can. You have to draw the line somewhere.sounds like a net loss for you too, at least if you like drinking beer there.
Thats the point, everything seems in a race to the bottom. Less for more, but ultimately less for everyone!
Paying the cost of chasing 3% GDP growth... a lot of economists were screaming about this for yearssounds like a net loss for you too, at least if you like drinking beer there.

If that wasn’t one shipment that is rookie level hoarding lol. Before I get slammed, this is 4 different types of powder for different cartridges and also muzzleloading.… but I am working to secure my future regardless of where the situation with factory ammo goes.

Yup. I really enjoy shooting my hunting rifles. Also just makes me a better and more confident shooter. It is hard to justify going and burning through a box of cartridges right now on the range, especially the harder to find or pricey stuff. What really makes me mad is that I feel like I can’t just go out and shoot anymore. I have to hoard ammo and only shoot while hunting.
They were available the whole time if you were creative. It was available here for the most part. I shipped or loaded for quite a few members till I got burnt by one.A reloading kit doesn’t do you any good if you don’t have the components.
going through a box each of 450 Marlin and 444 was a mentally painful experience. made me forget the recoil.Yup. I really enjoy shooting my hunting rifles. Been burning through a lot of .22 LR and cheap .308 ammo and haven’t been shooting my .280’s or my .35 Remington much at all besides a couple shots to confirm zero here and there.
