Well, I just got back from texas, Final tally, 5 hogs and one Javi for me and 4 hogs for my sidekick. After butchering we split 5 40 qt coolers of pork. Pics as soon as wallgreen gets done.

Did you save the hog tusks and javelina skull? You might be able to enter them in a book, if you wanted to. Wow, lots of good meat there. Congratulations!

I tried to get some others on this board to go, but,,,,
This year it was $650, everything included. It's going up next year-$800 but will include 1 javi( now it's an extra $150), having the javi done in a full body mount. Never thought I'd use 'javi' and 'full body mount' in the same sentence But the damned thing was such an unusual color- like straw. the skull is being cleaned for a european mount. The tusks were really ground down. The boars tusks are going into a necklace, on going project.

I'm thinking about a group in sept. at another place, will probably book through SJ again, that was also a good hunt. We are loosely planning on going back to lazy r in feb '06. You can hunt with anything on either place.

The new moon is Oct 3rd. That's a monday. So I'm thinking of the first weekend in Oct., hunting sat, sun, and monday.
Most of my hunting buddies are working on the commericial side of Boeing, which is being sold,,,So nobody wants to confirm just yet until they know if they will still have a job :wank:

It would have to be a heck of a deal to get me away from archery hunting for deer in Oct. SJ had a good hog hunt deal for 10, is it still around? Do you have any pictures Snake River Roofus? Good idea there, they have to have a job, to go hunting, in modern times, like now.

This is the old ad for that hunt. I would have to contact the outfitter to see if he was putting that hunt on anymore. I haven't talked to him in a while.
Going to start doing hunts starting Feb3 and will do group hunts every 3 days with maybe a break in between hunts. 13,000 acres in two ranches. One is full of hogs and the other they're killing SCI book Javelinas off of. Groups of 10, $250 each for 3 Days. You will be allowed 2 Javelinas and unlimited hogs. Hunters are responsible for their own lodging and food but there is an old bunk house that can sleep 6 if any wanted to try it. Camping permitted at the site with electrical and water hook ups. There might be a chance to use a ML if you didn't want to bow hunt but not sure yet on that. These hunts are going to take place in Zapata and Laredo TX. If this sounds like a group hunt that any of ya'll might like to get going let me know
