Any word on the Imaginary Corporal from Ohio? I think that North Idaho (Dworshak) Elk hunt starts tomorrow....

My guess is he is either coming through Montana or Southern Idaho, so one of us probably better be worried about a good ol' fashioned SI Ass-Kicking, as promised....

Might want to keep an eye out for the Ford Escort loaded down with recipe books and second-hand Dutch Ovens

Man I have forgotten about that!!! I guess I will keep an eye out for him. I am leaving this afternoon to got sit in the duck blind so maybe I will miss him.

Most likely he never will get off the interstate at Glendive and divert his route up here. Anyway you guys in Idaho have a problem because I think there will be 25 guys fully armed roaming your woods supposedly hunting but I think it is an imaginary plot to invade the north.

Just be careful on your drive to the duck hunt, in case you see some bad-assed Escort with Showtunes from "Chorus Line" blaring out of the speaker... You'll know there is trouble, assuming all medication was taken.....

Could you imagine going hunting for a week, and some overweight guy from Ohio telling you he had driven out for a week, just to cook for you???

What I can't imagine is wanting to drive that far to cook for a bunch of guys. Is the hunting really that good up there? Because this guy, who is now a registered member here, says there are elk everywhere.

There are guys driving from New York State to hunt with these guys. I read on another website that they have butchered a beef and a pig to feed everyone. You tell me how many guys it takes to eat a beef and a pig up on a ten day hunt.

Anyway I think their hunt starts today so if He was going to show up I think he would have came through on Wednesday or Thursday. They are now your problem.

It is a great place to whack Whitetails, in November, but I would not drive from SoIdaho to that area for Elk, let alone from NY (or Ohio).

And I like cooking in a Dutch Oven as well as anyone, and am certainly much better at it than the Imaginary Corporal... But no way am I gonna put miles on the Escort and have to go back to Wal-Mart for new tires.

If he doesn't show up in your area and kick your ass, maybe I'll go buy a step ladder and come up and do it myself.... ;)

I will keep you posted re: my ass whoppin. I think most likely I am safe for now. So not to worry to much.

I would be more worried about what is going on in that camp in Idaho. I think a rebellion may be a brewin to take over your entire state.

Nemont

We have a long, embarassing history of "those" types in Northern Idaho, trying to have a "rebellion"..... Luckily, most of them are old and keep dieing.

It better be a good place to whack a whitetail in Oct!!! ;) I wish I was going in Nov, but Pops didn't like the prospect of snow. I'm sure I'll find something to shoot, even if its fecal matter! :D

ROF!!!!!!!! coincidently, I Googled him a few weeks back. He seems to have gone underground. maybe someone could go over to the "other" board and ask about him?

he's nuts anyway..see if you can follow this thread http://www.freedominion.ca/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=75200&highlight=#75200 and yes, there will be a test afterward.

I may not be out of the woods yet!. I was just over on the NAHC board and the Corporal has not shown up at camp as of this morning!!

You suppose he is lurking around town here waiting for me to step out of line?

Nemont

He's probably looking like a salmon, trying to drive over the top of that dam....

Somebody should have told him the road doesn't go thru Ahsaka....

Nemont,
If you get cornered on Main Street up there, let me know, and I'll fly up there and back you up... No way he have enough wind to get me after you break his hand with your face.... ;)

Hey Nemont,

What's the word on the Imaginary Corporal? Has he made it up their to "cook" for the Men???

More important than him showing up, have they got the Elk to show up for the 25 guys that are hunting out of that camp???

EG,
I haven't checked yet this morning. The report posted is that one guy shot a spike bull that was just "huge" bodied.

I will go over there this afternoon. I wonder if he will be punished by his imaginary Company Commander for not being is his appointed place of duty? I am not real familiar with imaginary army rules and regs. I wonder if there is an imaginary UCMJ?

Nemont

When you compare a Spike bull to a Whitetail it is "HUGE" .. Compaired to ANY other Elk.... It's Small .... ;)

Keep us informed.

I was laughing on the "huge" Spike....

Reminds me of last year when there was a Spike and a Rag bull down in a deep hole, and I told Moosie that the Spike was the "trophy", and to shoot it, as I didn't want to carry the meat off the Rag bull out of that hole.... :D

You don't suppose he has gone AWOL, or has chickened out on "active duty", and instead, has joined some Guard Unit in Nebraska???

For being an imaginary military man with just one mission he sure left a lot of people high and dry. Reading through the thread he planned all the meals, was bring as much equipment as the old escort could haul.

I wonder how any of the men could make it for ten days with out a bonafide cook? It will be intersting to see what the circumstances surrounding the him not showing up were. My guess is the escort broke down near an adult entertainment establishment and he decided to do some cooking there.

He was still posting recipes on October 8th.... That is funny that when he says he will be there, he fails the Men.

Finaly! After waiting for a year and sweating out the last month as you prepare, deer season is here! Now is the time for you to make...

DaGriz's Yooper Venison Stew

3-4 lbs venison cut in bit size pieces and brown in frying pan. 6 carrots, 8 potatoes diced. 3 onions, 2 stalks celery chopped. Put in large crock pot and add to it 1 can mushroom soup, 1 cup wine, 1/12 tsp. salt, 1/2 tsp. pepper, 1/4 tsp. each of thyme, marjoram, rosemary, oregano, sweet basil, 2 cloves garlic. cook about 3 hours until vegetables are done. If juice is thin add flour and stir in good. ( very taste recipe)

You can do in a DO w/legs, Use 12-15 coals on the top, Time depends. Check after 1&1/2 hour er Stew

Did you know that the Ford Escort was the number 1 selling car in Japan??? :D

Still no corporal in camp in Idaho. I think he missed the turn or something. There was a little blurb about him need to stop in Orifino (sp) at a drug store to fill a couple of prescriptions so maybe he didn't get the correct drugs!!!
