Just joined going on my first elk hunt in the fall and trying to gather as much info as possible! Hunted lots of whitetail and one mule deer. Fell in love with the west in 2013 on my first mule deer hunt.

Welcome to HT! Look back in the elk forum and others there's a months worth of reading. Start a notebook and take notes on everything. That helped me get started off on the right foot many years ago. I still take notes and file them when I find some good info.
