This video popped up on my facebook feed.It shows ranchers from Harney Co, OR (When the Bundy Bro's are laying seige to snacks) working with federal, state and NGO partners to better manage public and private land while conserving important species like Sage Grouse.

As the situation in Burns unfolds, it's important to remember that a large number of production ag families are actually out there working to make our public lands a better place for everyone.

Thanks for sharing.

Not all ranchers are alike.
Not that I'm some operation of any sort.
My little ranch is for wildlife mostly. Was looking for a home to retire and got a 4th career.
The occational cattle provide me with tax break and another rancher gets to rotate stock. Only 140 ac.
My well and tanks provides year round water for elk, antelope, deer and too many birds and such to list.
It's fenced to keep range cattle out too. Made elk & antelope friendly.Only reliable water for miles and I am surrounded by BLM & state lands.
I have worked a bit with NMG&F,BLM,& NRCS to get local advice. RMEF too.
Best advice I get on range issues is from old timers who have places that are like walking back in time.
