Hope this all finds you with lots to be thankful for, enjoying a day doing whatever it is that makes you happy. For those in the military who are away from family, I am thankful for you and your service.

My reasons of thanks are more than I could type in a day. Being the luckiest man on the planet makes me grateful for every day of good health and the ability to do the things I love.

A year ago yesterday, my wife was hit by a drunk driver while walking across the street after work. It's been a long year, but her courage and tolerance for pain are unmatched by any other human that I know.

I'm thankful that she is walking around the kitchen right now making dinner.

Sitting in my daughter's house with daughter and son-in-law, grandchildren, in-laws, and friends, waiting for the turkey to come out of the oven and the mashed potatoes to cook. United could not get us all the way here, but we had a great drive the last part of the way (SFO to Northern California). Life is good.

Happy thanksgiving! I'm thankful for the desert sheep tag Arizona gave me. Just putting the finishing touch on a half pound slab of halibut I caught in alaska sitting here in the wall tent wondering if the ram I saw a couple hours ago is over 150. Life is good.
