Guided Striper fishing

I have been wanting to put together a guided Striper fishing trip with my dad and brother for quite awhile. When I asked them if they would want to go they would answer yes but like a lot of things talking about it and actually doing it are two different things. Finally I became more proactive and just set it all up with the guide since none of us have a boat. So this was not a diy on your own adventure. It was let the guide do everything including clean your fish, make you feel like a helpless, lazy slob kind of adventure.
However it was a blast involving great time spent making memories with my 71 year old dad, my younger brother and his son kind of day.
We fished for 4 hours for Striper and when we got back to the dock I fished for catfish while the guide cleaned the fish. Can't wait to go again!

That had to be ton of fun catching those stripers. I have never fished for stripers only wipers ( a hybrid of a striper and a white bass). When you hook into one of them in the spillway below the dam you are in for a great fight. They are one of my favorite fish to catch.

Striper fishing is a great time! I went last spring and going again in a few months. Hope to make it an annual thing. You're lucky, I asked about catfishing while they were cleaning and was told no. I know there's some hogs just sitting at the bottom of those cleaning stations.

Crazy how dialed in those striper guides are. Knowing how many feet to go down and up with the bait, knowing where the fish are with wind direction (and boat traffic). It was a fun.
