Started out getting permission that had a bunch of snows and some ducks and about 500 little canadas mixed in with the snows
Started out slow had ducks buzz and landing in the decoys prior to legal only to disappear once shooting light arrived. About five minutes into shooting time a little canada decoys in to my feet one shot and I have avoided the skunk. Few minutes later 3 Ross are hovering 15 yards out three quick shots and three geese dead within 15' of each other. Now it starts to get good and the flood gates open with snows pouring in. You could shoot the flock in the decoys and the next one 200 yards behind would lock up and drop right in. No calling no flagging needed or even had time for. It was load shoot and repeat. My barrel was too hot to touch at points this morning. If I knew all the birds were going to work in awesome I could have been picky and shot a limit of mature blues.
Ended the morning with my limit of 20 snows a limit of 8 canadas and 4 ducks. I honest to god could have shot over 100 snows this morning by myself. In about 10-15 minutes I had my 20 snows on the ground. my shooting was on fire and the birds were close. Shot three triples this morning with two on back to back flocks
I can't even put in to words how awesome this morning was. I took lots of videos on my phone. Thousands of geese coming over head less then 20 yards up no circling or anything just right down the pipe. Had geese almost close enough to hit with your shotgun. Even sitting up in your blind they are still dripping in to under 15 yards. It's a hunt I will never forget and it will be tough to top. This morning far surpassed my previous best morning of 22 birds solo. I'm not sure if I'll ever beat a solo morning of 32 birds.
For those curious on the spread I was running was 3 dz honker shells and 6 dozen silo socks and a couple mojo ducks. Geese were still landing at my feet with the mojos running this morning
