So I'm headed to Kodiak in 6 days for deer & duck and about 2 weeks ago I tossed my dog's little football into the pond as I do everyday, she has to get a swim in during the day. Wanting to get a long toss going I got my body into the throw but my foot grabbed the dirt and didn't pivot with my body. Ouch ! that didn't feel right. Well it's been a couple weeks and my knee seems to be getting worse and not better. To make matters worse I just come down with a nasty chest cold.

Hoping God sends a nice buck down to the beach.

Is this the one you already had trouble with?

That sucks. Hope it’s nothing serious, and that you can salvage your hunt. I always enjoy the videos.
My left knee has been the bad one since I was 13, but now I've worn out the good one (R) and it has become the bad one.
In 2013 while hunting tahr in NZ alps I tore the meniscus in the right knee, and again it's my right knee.

Yeah I know that feeling. Kinda hurts in different ways. I guess I worked n played tooooo hard. Neck wore out n broke. Missed moose season, first time in 40 years. My body didn't care for the new body parts in my neck and nothing fused. So missed season again. I will have more surgery next month to fuse everything mechanically.
Yeah getting ol gets tough at times but I'll take the little moments spending time with the grandkids n throwing the dogs toys

There are some benefits to getting old for Alaskan residents.

Starting at age 60, Free hunting/fishing/trapping license including state King salmon and duck stamp.

By state law, starting at age 65, first $150,000 of assessed property waived for property tax (no state sales tax, no state income tax).

Ouch - best to your recovery. Rehab is king, if you have the right therapist.

More and more I've learned since my 2012 injury, and rounded the big 50 corner, rehab can either be a cattle chute game of $ or top quality. A quality Orthopaedic Specialist may share methods to use at home for personal rehab.

Wishing you the best - to a speedy recovery.

I slipped coming down the hill from our dog kennel.
Ruptured quad tendon. Luckily surgery the next day.
A bump in the road, a year later full recovery.

In today's world of technological advances, if you find a buddy that you trust they can patch you up quickly. YouTube I'm sure has a great video on knee repair I'm sure.

On a serious note hope your knees get better. They are no joking around when they start to go.
