Fun Day

It's hard to pick out different species of ducks in groups like these. I scouted these birds yesterday and found some targets through the spotting scope. I heard a wigeon in the group but never did lay eyes on him.




I sat out all day today and passed on thousands of mallards waiting for an opportunity at these guys. They are headed to the taxidermist.

There's also some jewelry still out there! Grin..



Glad I beat the a holes from Tennessee to this spot..

I miss duck hunting. Which is to say I miss ducks when I am hunting. That's quite a sight.

Beautiful Ducks! We used to search for hunts like this! I can find fields and sloughs with all the teal, wigeon, all divers, gadwalls, and everything else, but nothing beats a pile of green!

Great color on that woody! I've shot a handful up here in SD, but they never had great color so they never got mounted, but man yours looks fantastic!
