Today my dad, wife, son and I got up bright and early and headed south to the Red River Gorge in Kentucky. The temperatures topped 94 today and the humidity was pretty rough. It was a great day to spend in the cool water of Swift Camp Creek which is one of my favorite streams to fish there. Someday, I will make sure my camera is charged BEFORE I leave the truck so that I can get some pictures of one area I like in particular. For today, I had my wife take a few pictures before my dad and I headed farther upstream. We caught a few trout close to the trailhead where my wife and son spent the day throwing rocks, looking for bugs, and other general mischief. She got a few pictures of those for me. Dad and I caught several more farther upstream and away from the crowds. Overall, it was an awesome way to spend the first real scorcher of the summer.
