From the Hell Creek Marina Facebook: "ICE UPDATE 01/12/15:
We still have 8 to 12 inches of ice from the marina to the head of the bay. There is 6 to 7 inches all the way to Snow Creek, and going across to Sutherland has increased to 5 to 6 inches. The conditions going east toward the dam have not been checked yet, so proceed with caution.
Northern and walleye are both hitting here in the bay at about 14-20 feet, with northern being the best bite. If you have any questions, please feel free to give us a call at the marina: 406-557-2345"
On the Ice Shanty Forums...Crooked Creek has 12", 8-12 on the main channel but pressure ridges in several areas. Fishing reports are few but say it has been slow over the last week.
