Action is a VZ 24 Mauser. Jewelled bolt. Action is Cerakote matte black.
Barrel is 26", Sendero contour. Cerakote matte black. Unknown manufacturer. Unknown smith. Twist is approx 1:10"
Bottom metal is alloy. Hinged drop plate. Cerakote matte black.
Trigger is a Timney
Wood stock is nice looking, schnabel foreend, wood is not walnut (I think). It is in inlet very well for the action and barrel, it needs bedded. LOP over recoil pad is 14".
Test fired for function only. Didn't want to test for accuracy until it was bedded.
Work that needs completed.
1- Stock needs to bedded, and sling studs added.
2- Action/Rails needs tweaked. One round on the right side feeds correctly into the chamber, the left side binds. (In my novice opinion the action needs relieved a whisker and the feed ramp reshaped.)
3- a half whisker of relief for the side safety. It slightly binds against the wood.
Coating has scratches, safe and handling marks.
Why I'm selling. This is a redundant rifle project. I already have a gorgeous Flaigs built Mauser in 300 Wby with the same barrel contour. Time for this one to go to a new home and get used.
Base and 30 mm rings included.
$580 shipped. If I can't sell it for that, I'll part it out. MO, check, USPS MO. No electronic funds please.
