Caribou Gear Tarp

Frozen pipes.

Timing? Went out to the kennel building to check the heat and as usual with high winds one heater is out. The side the water lines come in. Temp down to 28. No water from faucet for dog. Ugh... Opened doors to circulate air between the two sides and put a floor fan blowing on plumbing. I opened a faucet to maybe get water flowing IF enough thawed out to get it moving and clear the ice. Too many places leaking air to stop but I slowed down what I could. Really need the wind to let up.

My little jaunt this morning to check the roads at -10 left my dumb ass with blistered fingertips from not wearing the right gloves when I shoveled snow for maybe 2 minutes! Cold is no joke!

At my parents house for Christmas. I was the only one at home as I was working remote. Noticed it felt chilly. Thermostat said it was 60° and furnace wasn’t running. Had a tech out and he found 3 dead bats in the intake. Got them cleaned out and we’re back in action. Feeling pretty lucky it wasn’t something more difficult.

2 days before Christmas is why the timing sucks. I'll get it tho. It's only ever happened one other time and I had to get pretty innovative. Involves a turkey fryer, a fish tank pump, and very small garden irrigation hose.

I'm in idaho.
I knew that sorry bro!! Haha for some reason I confused you with Harley buddy I wasn’t paying attention.

In Idaho— then normal life resumes. Carry on 😂

In all seriousness though, I’m sorry about your pipes, do they have the insulation wrap around them?? Try that and take a space heater and put it under the house or wherever the freeze is occurring. And leave what you would guess to be a small drip From a faucet so when it starts to work the water wants to move

battery on my wifes car completely froze up on wednesday. Its sitting in the house warming up (eventually) Hopefully it takes a charge again, not really feeling like buying a new battery. Luckily no issue with the house. The furnace is under the house in the crawl space and everything is nice and warm. its 0 degrees right now, were heading the right direction again :D

Im sure you know this but Grab a 110 heat tape some pipe insulation sleeves and a roll of duct tape.
You will be permanently done with it.

Freezes underground just outside of the pump house. All the other pipes are already fitted with that. That's why it's such a unique process. Builder failure design failure whatever u wanna call it. Someone did it wrong. Haha

Ok gotcha. We had a rental do that one winter are you lucky enough for it to be metal pipe?

My brother was a fire insurance investigator. He can't count the number of home fires he's seen caused by heat tape. Be careful with that stuff. Top of the list is of course space heaters. Bronze medal goes to electric baseboards.
