Front strut replacement

So I got rid of the rusted KDSS truck
and bought a non KDSS 2024 w/low miles plus another maybe $1600 or so of parts
to play with for a 2-2.5” lift (not shown is the panhard correction kit). I am gonna tempt fate again with the spring compressor rental when I get around to it! Should go easier than last time, will update again then. If anyone has a 4runner and wants to know how to do a very practical and functional lift, this stuff is pretty much what you are likely to need, or maybe a little less if you go with shorter spring.

100% doable DIY, then take it into someplace not Schwabbies to get an alignment - got screwed by them once, will never go back.

Les's boys are the best for tires, but the other services are better done by folks that are real mechanics.

I've safely swapped the struts on my 2008 Taco several times without a spring compressor using this method: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/front-shock-spring-install-without-spring-compressor.311424/

I suspect this safer method would also work for a 4-runner which I believe shares the same front suspension design.
