I haven’t been to a concert in quite awhile either. That needs to change

One of the last concerts that I attended was George Jones at the Dixie National Rodeo. His health was failing and he was losing his voice. He stopped several times and apologized because he just couldn't sing very well that night. He died later that year, if I remember correctly. I'm glad we got to see him. I wish I could have seen some of the other greats that left the party before George did. Cash and Jennings come to mind as I'm writing this.

It’d take a blunt the size of the universe to be able to enjoy that show. I’d go for the experience tho.

I grew up with a father who had an eclectic taste in music. One minute it was Willie & Waylon, then next it was the Doors, followed up with Ravel's Bolero, which is an excellent piece to sit through in a concert hall. I love the symphony (played cello for 8 years) and the culture that comes with it. It's one of the few times I enjoy dressing up in a coat & tie, and making the wife think I'm more than a guy who watches fresh tracks on Amazon while wearing camo. :)

@Ben Lamb you're a bright guy, and I enjoy the thought and passion that you bring to your posts, even when you take a position I don’t necessarily agree with. I think being in a hunting camp with you would be a lot of fun, but I’m going to have to be out on getting dressed up for the symphony...those folks always look sideways at me. Like they don’t like the smell of cow shit and horses or something...

Just put on a blazer and sit next to me. You'll be fine. Symphony folks are good people. Mostly.

Saw Willie a couple of years ago. Probably one of the last big concerts I've gone too.

Damn, the beat really breaks down @10:32. I think these are way over my head, but I’m gonna give them a few listens this weekend and see if I can get anything out of it. 👍
I love dressing up. 🤵🏻
