Fresh Blacktail sheds!

Went out with a couple friends Thursday and managed to find a nice set. A big 3pt with eyeguards and sticker points. Might be an old buck from the size of the bases.

Nice! I don't know much about those deer, but that looks like an awesome set.

Something about the contrast between dark antler and white bases like that just gets me all hot and bothered.

Thanks guys! Going to go again tomorrow, maybe get lucky and find another shed or three. Kind of early, but there's a few on the ground and it beats sitting around the house.

Most the sheds I find are dark brown to mahogany in color. The vegetation they rub gives them good color and most these bucks don't see much sunlight from September to March.

I went again and saw lots of bucks still packing...I'd say 99.9% of the bucks are still holding onto their bones.
