I hunted axis deer recently and shot a young doe for meat. You can see within the background how thick this forest is. 30-30 is a keeper! Axis deer originated in Sri Lanka (Ceylon) and India but were brought to Florida and Texas a few decades ago. They're thriving but this Florida cold spell does not do them any good. TR
