Make sure you rinse that skull thoroughly as the peroxide will burn your hands when touching the skull afterwards if you do not. The best thing to use is hot water and dawn dish soap to help degrease the skull as well, pressure washer doesn't hurt as well.

Looking good. I would also add if it is damp the color will still appear off until it dries thoroughly. What percentage peroxide are you using?

Not really sure, I did check on it today and it is looking really good. I will probably take it out and clean it this weekend some time after work. To be honest it is more up to my son what he wants to do with it. If he decides to keep it in the peroxide for a few more days it is entirely up to him. I am just enjoying the project.

I found 7-10 days is the sweet spot for me... after 10 the improvement is negligible.

Thanks for the advice, it just came out of the peroxide 2 days ago and was washed off. My father in law liked it so much he pulled his Euro mount down off the wall and did the same.
