I drove on today. Never measured but looked to be out about 2’ when I was drilling.

I remember driving on ice with my dad when I was a kid, no idea how thick it was pretty sure you don't measure when your a 30 pack in.

I remember once driving on 12” of ice. There was a 3/4 ton out there and I was like if he can drive out I can too lol

Once grouse season closes all of my outdoor focus is on the ice, spear in hand waiting for pike!

They’ve been trying to drive on the ice at Chetek since October!

It’s a hovercraft. It has a 25hp motor to run the fan and a 12.5hp motor to inflate the skirt. I was just along for the ride, it’s not mine, although I told my wife I’ll be getting one ASAP! It was fun to be able to get to places otherwise impossible because of distance or in this case ice conditions. We had to cross a couple of open water areas on a slough.
