NSSF Creates Municipal Firearms Lawsuit Status Web Site
The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) has put together a Web site outlining the status of various municipal firearms lawsuits around the country. To keep track of the lawsuits, visit the NSSF’s Municipal Firearms Litigation Scorecard Web site at www.hsshf.org/legal_idx.htm.
In related news, Wilmington, Delaware, Mayor James M. Baker announced last week he will not appeal the dismissal of his city’s lawsuit against members of the firearm industry, but will instead seek the cooperation of industry.
Lawrence Keane of the National Shooting Sports Foundation praised Baker’s decision, saying “We look forward to working cooperatively with the city of Wilmington to achieve our shared goals of further reducing accidental firearm deaths and assisting law enforcement in its efforts to combat the criminal misuse of firearms.”
