Leupold BX-4 Rangefinding Binoculars

Finn from the Cascades, Season 1

The broken rod was courtesy of my topper door and a pansy ass strut.

To our public lands we go

Unfortunately, Finn chose to identify as a flusher rather than a pointer. I watched well over 100 birds sail across this vista, firing nary a shot.

Today, Finn chose to identify as a pointer again. The Sauer spoke twice. Finn retrieved the spoils.

Damn JLS you certainly but many of us to shame. Not just the # of outings but the quality and the rate of success. Very well done. Finn chose well.

So very awesome!! Birds make the dog and you've exposed him tons! Well done by the both of you.

A bluebird day chasing roosters. This one fell victim to a great point and one shot from the Sauer. Finn finished it off with the retrieve.

Sounds like young finn is figuring it all out. Nice to hear the Sauer is still doing its job as well. Some day I hope to join the ranks of the Side x Side crew.

Good day in the marsh. Ended the day with a great find on a winged drake that was VERY much alive and willing to dive in the reeds.

Great job!! Looks like you two have this down pat. It’ll be fun to see what the future brings for you too. Thanks for sharing.

Wow great pictures and good looking dog. Looks like you have had quite the bird hunting season so far. Wish I was still knocking down some ducks, I might have to travel west one of these years. My spots were froze the last 2 weeks of our season

Nice! You guys are sure getting some quality time in the field. I need to get out more.

One major plus of the German testing system is it puts you and the dog on a really aggressive timeline to get shit done. The dogs need a lot to of hunting exposure for the spring and fall puppy tests, and are force fetched after their first hunting season. It’s kind of fun too:)

I love it when you see a dog really start to click. Today was that day. Full run, stop on a dime, lock on point. Shoot the bird and watch your dog retreive it. Birds were scarce, but good dog work was not. We closed out the day with one of the best recoveries of a crippled chukar I have seen.

While I’m excited to see Finn coming along so well, I mostly come here to see pictures of that country. :D I need to get back out there soon.
