Just wondering if anyone knows if the bulls are bugling at all down southwest montana? Haven't heard anything up in central montana. Thanks in advance.

They are going nuts. I have heard lots of talk of silent elk this year, not anymore. They are in full swing.

We were hunting SW Montana last week, and although I've never been in the elk woods/mountains until Friday a week ago, I will say that they are bugling everywhere. Some in the morning, some at noon, but the mountains lit up with that music in the afternoons and into the night.
