Donald Rumsfeld is giving his daily briefing to George Bush. He
concludes by saying: "Yesterday, 3 Brazilian soldiers were killed."

"OH NO!" the President exclaims. "That's terrible!"

His staff sit stunned at this display of emotion, nervously watching as
the President sits, head in hands.

Finally, Mr Bush looks up and asks, "How many is a brazillion?"

?????

So apparently I am a loony tune??? I wasn't aware I was on anyone's ignore list. Oh well, Ithaca, if you reposted my joke, I don't care, its not as if it is MY joke, I heard it from somewhere else. If I am on your "ignore list", I guess I wonder why. But if I am, than you can't see this anyway!!! :) :) :)

Quite frankly Sugar if you made Ithaca's ignore list I'm guessing it must be fairly extensive. It's a wonder he can respond to anyone but himself. ;)

I can say that cause I assume I'm on the list too. :D

Ithaca...unignore me for 2 seconds and read this

Wow...I have no idea what I have done to piss off Ithaca. I have always considered myself pretty fair and even handed. I am fairly certain that I have never personally attacked anyone on this board. I have my beliefs and so do others here. I disagree with some and agree with others. I don't post that often so it isn't like I have some ongoing fued with anyone. There are some people on this board who push my buttons on a daily basis, yet I keep reading for a couple of reasons:

1. It really is entertaining to see what some people will say next.
2. I enjoy reading opposing viewpoints because I just might learn something.

I think number 2 is the most important. There have been several instances where I disagreed with an initial posting, but after hearing the arguement, I felt like I was better informed and willing to discuss the matter and perhaps be swayed to the other side of the position. I think that is a valuable trait to have; the ability to listen to opposing viewpoints and have a rational conversation about them. Considering some of the hateful venom that is spewed on a daily basis here, it is amazing that some people even post at all. I know, I know, maybe I am being a little too optomistic, but I hope, Ithaca, and others have taken the time to read this and think about it. And, after all of that, if you still feel it necessary to block my viewpoints because they disagree with yours, than so be it.

P.S. I am a little offended at the "consistent idiocy" comment...I encourage you to go back and look through my posts and find where I have been idiotic (with the exception of some of my jokes!!) Seriously, go back and check them out...maybe you agree with me, maybe you don't, but I think you will agree that the majority are thoughtful, well articulated, comments. (Once again, with the exception of my jokes)

I quote the above so Ithica can read it.

And I will vouch for Guiseppie, he is not consistenly an idiot :D .

In fact, in relation to those who are pubilcaly identified as idiots by Ithica, Guiseppie is a genius. ;)

"I don't think administrators and moderators can be put on "ignore"."

MAN.. I should add some people in as Moderators it looks like... bUuuahahahahha !!!

That is of course assuming Jose that YOU are not on his list. :D :D :D

P.S. I knew that admins couldn't be ignored. However, how else was he going to know there was a post he was ignoring, that he couldn't see, that was addressing his ignoring.... ;) :p

What's that saying about "Ohh the web We Weave, when we lie to decieve."

Cali got on da Professor hat today.

Regardless, It's a funny joke ..............

Calif., Please check the first link you provided above. Notice my disclaimer? The second link (Andy Rooney topic) was one I never followed after my post. I'm sorry it was attributed to Andy. I got it in an email.

Now for the rest: I couldn't remember exactly why I put Guppie on "Ignore", so I took him off it and did a search for his posts in SI. After reading about 50 of them, he sounds quite sensible. I can't even find any that would remind me why I put him on "Ignore". Maybe I was just in a bad mood that day! I'm going to leave him off it and admit it might have been a mistake. Sorry, gup. The ones I left on it are definitely dingbats.

Maybe I'll replace him with Mojave and California Hunter if I can figure out how. :D

Ever seen a joke with 14 replies? :D I'm claiming the record. ;)

We should be careful to all coronate Guiseppe as a scholar and stateman, as he does often show to be somewhat of a Bush apologist. :D

But, on the whole, more of him and less of the others on Ithica's list is likely a good thing...

Cali,
Good find..... As we all know, most of those E-mail "hoaxes" prove to be wrong.... :p

I've put Ithaca on my "how bad would I need to get a life if I cared about being on his ignore list".

Wow, what a reaction. If this isn't a record, as IT suggested, than we should keep it going and make it one!!

Seriously, Ithaca, I appreciate the acknowledgement. No offense, its not like I was losing sleep over it or anything, I was just curious as to the circumstances. As far as I'm concerned, the whole issue is water under the bridge. I'll continue to read what you and everyone else posts and do my level best to keep it civil. (Unless its about ANWR and than, IMHO, you're all idiots :D :D)

Holy cow!! That might be the meanest thing anyone has ever said about me. I can't stand George Bush, for many reasons that I won't get into here. That being said, I also don't blame every ill of society on the man. The only time you'll really see me defending him is when I believe that the thinking behind the hatred is unreasonable. (I.E. GWB should have personally rescued all the hurricane victims by doing a combat drop from Air Force One with supplies on his back.)

Anyway, I suppose this has gotten way out of hand. As much as I dislike some of the posts here, keep posting them. I am weird like that. I guess that makes me a masochist or something...oh no...wait....that part was for the adult section!!
