DU endorses Kerry ?

DU Maintains Political Neutrality in Presidential Race

We are aware that U.S. Senator John Kerry hunted Canada geese in Ohio earlier today (October 21, 2004). Press reports show that the Senator was wearing a Ducks Unlimited hat and that he was hunting with a local Ducks Unlimited member and supporter.

Ducks Unlimited is a non-partisan organization. DU has no affiliation with any political party, nor do we endorse any political candidate. However, it should be recognized that in support of our wildlife habitat conservation work, the Ducks Unlimited logo is branded on many products, including hats, jackets, and other clothing.

One gentleman on the trip was misidentified as a local Ducks Unlimited "board" member. He is not a member of Ducks Unlimited's board of directors. No one was there to represent Ducks Unlimited in any way during the hunting trip. Ducks Unlimited has 1 million members and supporters who also have a variety of political affiliations.

Isn't DU the same organization that said it's OK to take all of the rifled firearms, just leave the smoothbores...??? Seems I dumped my DU membership several years ago for that.. Makes sense that they would support Kerry..

Seems as though kerry 'misled' some folks, or at least tried to 'mislead'us ( or at least some hunters). Never thought a "man" as honest(cough) as kerry is (cough,cough) would stoop so low( cough, cough, cough) as to "pretend" to be a sportsman. (cough,cough,cough,HACK!) Next, you unenlighted posters will try and tell me that kerry is not the best thing until the 2nd coming, or that he really WON'T 'allow' wunting on federal land or that,, I can't go on- there is nothing that kerry won't stoop to(except an honest job) America would do better to just wipe and flush. Hope that kerry doesn't leave skid marks in our shorts.
