I guess some folks don't like all the things that go along with living in the West. I love this particularly anthropocentric comment: "It's people that have to live in this country," he said. "Animals are beautiful to look at, but they don't own the planet."

Residents on the western fringe of this small foothills city are struggling to adapt to a new bunch of neighbors who trample their fences, eat their lawns and generally roam about like they own the place.
More than 100 elk, driven out of the mountains last winter by a lack of forage, have decided Loveland's mix of hayfields, golf courses and irrigated landscapes makes a dandy place to call home.
