Man, I’d imagined the myth around this gun to be more of a “Pretty Boy Floyd” Woody Guthrie ballad about ensuring fairness and justice in the land (as well as keeping possums out of MT). But, I really like your Cormac McCarthy novel-style apocalypse insurance idea. That's a beautiful rifle. Very apocalyptic. Amazing lettering...I can just imagine the light from my kerosene lantern gently dancing across it after you kick in my door to kill me and steal my last can of beans. My grandchildren will tell their grandchildren...he was killed by Daisy, the man they called the "Possum King."
What kind of beans are we talking though? Some types are worth killing over more than others.
What caliber? I have one in .243.Crisp lettering. Has rifling. Extractor works. And the f-ing rifle shoots. mtmuley View attachment 207577
.222 Remington. It's a really fun little rifle. 40 grain Vmaxs will group as tight as you can shoot. mtmuleyWhat caliber? I have one in .243.
That is probably not a stamp. The letters and numbers were probably carved by skilled elves with a great work ethic. That’s the real problem here, elves just don’t care as much about their barrel markings these days.
Give them a break. Not only are they expected to make toys just like Boomer elves did, now they have to set on a shelf and monitor human behavior for an additional month of the year.Must be those Millennial elves.
Wrong, it's the magestic !!!
Don't get him started on Canada gooses.
You must be a calligrapher...
I was, but I didn’t have the work ethic to continue. You must be a calligrapher...
The war has started and you don't even know!!!
