While I was cleaning the .416Rigby from last weeks final trip to range and doing a little dry firing, I clicked on the Sportsmens Channel....
A program called Northwest Hunters was on showing a trip with Bundu Safaris in the Limpopo Valley of RSA.

Beginning of program showed a short segment of two kills from apparently a previous episode then proceeded to show two more kills. All four kills were from the truck on a pad like a shooting bench.
One might call this killing or culling but it darn sure was neither hunting nor sporting.
The Sportsmens Channel, Northwest Hunters, Bundu Safaris and the PH and "hunters" should be ashamed!
I am sure the AR's loved it.....

Tom---I think that's the show with a guy that has a booking agency and I don't think he's ever done a DIY hunt of any type in his life. The couple shows I watched they led him around and he looked like the only thing he had any clue about was how to pull the trigger! It's always something like you're referring to and I imagine those "hunts" he films are probably freebies from those outfitters in exchange for him getting them business through his agency. Just a guess, but I think that's the show you're talking about and I think he has a son that's involved in it too. I watched several episodes a couple years ago and haven't watched any since then because of crap like you mentioned in your post! Good luck on your upcoming trip over there!

Edit: Yep, here is their introduction on their website under the same name:

Welcome to Northwest Hunter
Northwest Hunter is an outdoor adventure series featuring the best in big game hunting from around the globe. Join hosts Pat Boyer and Zach Boyer as they travel to places near and far in search of good times and great hunting.
Our typical schedule is anything but typical. Northwest Hunter features a variety of adventurous hunts such as Alaska Brown Bear, Louisiana Alligator, Colorado Elk, African Cape Buffalo, Montana Mule Deer, New Zealand Red Stag and Canadian Waterfowl to name a few.

Same here. I DVR'd a few episodes. They were almost all in Africa, but the last one I watched chapped my arse. They were in Mexico road hunting and shooting Mule Deer from an elevated truck mounted platform.

Not once that I have seen, have they hunted in the "Northwest" like the title of the show,

They should rename the show to somethign more appropriate like Roadhunter TV

Maybe they're on the same program as some of the other TV personalities that have recently been posted about on here...On the 30 state s..list, no problem, we'll go to Mexico!

I too have seen this show and a few years back it used to be a pretty good show,it actually had northwest hunting in it,,,now it seems that all they do is outfitted hunting from everywhere except the northwest.its a far cry from oyoa ,pure hunting or eastmans.

I readily admit to shootin Springbok out of truck.....with 50 Rand apeice on dash....rules were female, in the head, 300metre min distance.....but we were culling and getting meat for workers on concession....I .lost on a technically ....hit one in horn which put her down and thought I had won....rong....after she got up and gave us a long chase....I lost....

I like Dan K. used to watch the show and it was with other hunters and they seemed to be doing it right. Then it just sorta went down hill and I have not seen the other host in many years. Shame, it was alright back when I watched it. John
