Deer Season 21-22. It begins…

I made it to the camp on Friday. Hunting the NWR until a week from today. Burning tne last week of PTO before the end of the year.

Unfortunately it is hot. 78 as I type. I don’t think
I remember it being this dry this time of year ever before. With a front moving in sometime tomorrow and up to 3 inches of rain expected I hope things are going to break loose.

I have really ramped up the activity level and I am feeling a lot better in general. I have to make the 80 mile run into town on Wednesday morning for an echocardiogram. Besides that I will be chasing deer until dark a week from today.D0731726-C1D8-4A0B-B808-09DAB05CABA6.jpeg

Okey dokey. I am back from my self imposed interweb hiatus and reset. My deer season is over. I hunted leas this season than usual. I enjoyed what time I spent and did manage a decent buck and a pile of hogs.

On the health front, nothing wrong with my heart. I am feeling much better. I am still undergoing some tests but I honestly think it was stress related. Work stress at that. It is a shame I have to work for a living lol.

Anywho, I got a lot of catching up to do…

How do you like hunting with your rifle in the saddle. I've only bow hunted out of mine and love it. Headed to Alabama this week for end of season and was going to take my saddle and try with the rifle

Love it. I never shot a deer this season out of it but did manage I think 3 or 4 hogs while in the saddle. I wish I would have got one years ago.

Did you get to use it in ‘bama?

I did the wma we hunted was so thick it was hard to carry a climber in and out. Saddle made it a lot easier especially picking out a tree.
