It really does not make a big difference until you get 500+ yards out.
I agree to the most part, I'm assuming it may affect some at shorter range, but they probably aren't worth shooting anyhow!

JDG- Most any/all new Leupold scope can be retrofitted with CDS turrets. They are a bit shy on windage only reticles, as in 0. Mil-dot or TMR would be their most common options for wanting to hold windage. If you don't mind going aftermarket, Greybull Precision has a contract with Leupold to get scopes made with a windage reticle. Though they only list the one model, in communications with them as of last year, they offered their reticle in the 2.5-8X36 VX3. IIRC these still carry the full Leupold warranty.
