Getting ready to submit app for spring archery. I've seen references to disease taking a toll, but haven't been able find anything specific. Any body know any real?

We're going either way, 30 years planning. Finally just going

I haven't seen anything published lately on the disease aspect. Word of mouth from hunters on the ground last season was that was less success. Some said there were fewer herds or they were not in the places hunters have found them in the past. Almost everyone I talked to said they had a harder time spotting them due to tall grass.
Whatever it is, I don't think any of these aspects should stop you from applying and making the trip to hunt them. There are still plenty of Javelina to hunt.

I didn’t go last year but two years ago the ones my group got were all really skinny and pretty poor looking. It was super dry, talking to azgf folks we know they expected they expected poor recruitment due to how dry it was
