Ran across several buck deadheads from this past winter. Must have been a hard one on them. Keyed in on one nice buck for two days. Had several memorable stalks that covered lots of ground and lasted hours. Shot opportunities were either just outside my comfortable range with the muzzleloader or blocked by the six does he spent his time with. Got within 85 yards at one point but caught in a bad position. Went home empty handed except for the memories. Might make another trip out later in the season depending on how other tags go.
