Sportsperson's Regional Caucus Meetings:
Beginning this week through Friday, February 21, several informational meetings will be held throughout the Northwest and Southwest Regions to give Colorado Parks and Wildlife staff an opportunity to discuss a new proposed plan for mountain lion management in the two regions. The plan was developed to maintain a stable mountain lion population across the Western Slope and is based on the most current scientific information, including CPW's field research and a careful review of research studies on mountain lions from Colorado, Wyoming and Montana. The proposed move to a landscape-level management philosophy will help our wildlife managers evaluate populations and set harvest objectives that align with the best available science.
- SW Region: Thursday, February 20, 2020 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the La Plata County Fairgrounds, 2500 Main Ave, Durango, CO
- NW Region: Friday, February 21, 2020 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Glenwood Springs Rec Center, 100 Wulfsohn Rd, Glenwood Spring, CO
