Didn't make it out to my deer hunting property all year till season opened. Was surprised at the lack of sign and didn't see a single deer in three hunts which is very odd. Fourth time out the beans had been picked and only thing I saw was three coyote pups. Went home and checked zero on my thermal scope and headed back out to see what I could do. Found the two adults in a neighboring field and after a quick phone call and scrambling to get set up they ran right to me before I even got the caller going. Nap time for both! Moved over to the field I saw the pups in earlier and there were 4 still there bedded down. Moved in within 150 yards turned the caller on to get them to stand up and miraculously managed to put all four down. Here's to hoping it was the whole family and the deer weren't wiped out to feed these pups!!!
