Coffee at home

Coffee was the first thing that really showed me snobs are just self important and needy jerks.

A good buddy once told me that "as soon as you start creating, you stop being a snob." Basically, as soon as I started roasting I realized that I roast to make coffee I want to drink and who cares what anyone else wants. It's a two way street so if someone loves starbucks (or nescafe) good for them, it may not be my preference, and by most objective measures it's worse - but since when are we objective people. Furthermore, Starbucks has made millions upon millions of people happy, what the heck have I done.

When I learned to homebrew beer I gained similar respect for the brewers at all the major macrobreweries and learned to enjoy coors banquet beer.

I will draw the line at cheese though - Tillamook or nothing.
