Clinton and her views on guns.

Ben forgot there is a 3rd branch of government

I didn't forget.

Under the executive branch, there's not much more that Hillary could legally do w/ Executive orders that the President hasn't already done. EO's can only provide direction and change small regulatory mechanisms that are already established under law.

So:

1.) Heller would unlikely ever be overturned even with a moderately progressive jurist to replace Scalia.

2.) Congress is very unlikely to support any broad or seeping gun control laws

3.) The Executive still doesn't have the power to make broad, sweeping regulatory changes.

But:

1.) The SUPCO could declare that congress must eliminate "excess" public lands

2.) Congress has repeatedly voted to sell public land

3.) Ted Cruz has been the primary sponsor of many of those bills.

Not defending Hillary, doesn't anyone think the beer analogy is kinda dumb? You note the absurdity of suing the beer industry,
Just my two cents.
rg

How about Rosie suing spoon makers for being fat? My guess is most here don't think it's dumb. Hold gun manufactures liable for bad thing people do with guns? Where does it end?Bernie is no person I would vote for but at least he has the brains to say what was right on that topic.

...cold dead cankles Ben.

You know she's waiting for you.

I don't need any Kool aide to support Trump. Not when he represents my views in almost everything, including keeping public lands public. In my opinion, you're anti-American if you don't support Trump. And please don't tell me Bernie Sanders or Hillary Clinton would be better for America.

So Trump represents your views? Trump has insulted everyone who is not male and white.http://onyourownadventures.com/hunttalk/attachment.php?attachmentid=52308&stc=1&d=1457393021

Ben,

There's a lot of issues left to decide on gun rights. A lot. Heller really only established that minimally, the right exists. There is much more for the court to decide.

I'm no fan of Raphael Cruz, believe me. But painting Hillary as harmless is a huge mistake.

That would be even dumber than the Budweiser one so I think you missed my point. You ever wonder why a law isn't needed to protect the spoon industry from lawsuits?

I'm happy to be very clear: I don't like Hillary. I don't like Bernie, I don't like Trump or Rubio and I certainly don't like Cruz. My guy left the race early (Jim Webb). I'm in no-man's land like most everyone else but out of all of those left - Hillary is the most moderate and fiscally conservative of the bunch.

Doesn't mean I don't think she'd try stuff on guns, it just means I don't see a path for her to be succesful. A toothless tiger, if you will.

1. I've heard the "the Libs are coming for our guns" stuff before. That's right. It was in 2008,2009,2010,2011,2012,2013,2014,2015, and now 2016. I took my HK-91 out shooting last Sunday. :)

I know a sucker is born every minute, but I'm no Seventh Day Adventist.

2. Americans are hypersensitive about their guns in a way that is laughable to outside observers. In the same way that some social justice warrior may demand your arrest under the charge of mind-rape if you gander a second too long at her yoga pants, gun-loving Americans swear we are in the middle of a UN worldwide coup meant to neuter our ability to wage war on the gubmint if background checks are discussed.

Both are ridiculous.

As I said earlier: Chicken Little Season Opener - coming to the US of A, November 2016.

I really wish Jim Webb would have stayed in the race. I've never supported a Democrat before in my life but he would have added some depth to the choice of Democrat candidates. It seems to me that it was a forgone conclusion among the Democrat establishment that this is Hillary's turn to be president and everyone else knew they could not count of any establishment support if they tried to be the nominee.
Only Bernie Sanders decided to buck the system. I wonder how much of his support is from left leaning voters who can't stand Hillary and would never vote Republican rather than people who are excited about a Democratic Socialist.

Webb would probably be polling very well now for the general election if he had stayed in.

Rob, seriously. Do you know what a public nuisance suit is? Do you know what a negligent advertising suit is? Do you know how they work?

You act like the gun manufacturers weren't constantly being sued prior to the PLCAA.

Oh, I forgot. You're still trying to figure out which clause of the 4th Amendment protects illegal immigrants from Trump's deportation plan (I'll give ya hint: it's not a 4th amendment right so start searching elsewhere)

In the meantime, read this: http://articles.latimes.com/2000/jun/20/news/mn-42954
