Chuck has another...

I’m assuming he’s hunting the private on the lease as well as the landlocked public his lease gives access to. I just find it to be a dubious characterization.
I'll agree with the private, but we all know someone else that made a big deal of hunting "land-locked" public.

I always figured those breaks bulls were on private, but I never heard confirmation on that. If I remember correctly, he had at least 2 that were over 400”.

I mule deer hunted the ranch he's hunted on outside of Colstrip a couple years ago, the only people who to get hunt elk on 87,000 acres are the help on the ranch and Chuck Adams. We saw some giant bulls.

Met him once YEARS ago at a sport show in Portland. He was sitting by himself (doors had just opened up) at the Hoyt booth surrounded by a large number of impressive mounts/horn.
I made the comment that Hoyt must have had those shipped in from all over hell and gone and he just said “nope, I’ve loaned them out for the show!” 😳😳

I did hear on a pod cast once when he was asked about “trophy hunting” and one comment he made was that, if after all these years, he just wanted to “fill tags” he’d having a very short hunting season. I didn’t think he was being cocky in the way he stated it, just someone sure of his abilities🤷🏻‍♂️

400-inch bulls are not necessarily any harder to kill than 300-inch bulls. You just have to hunt where they exist. They may actually be the same age. I know a guy that killed a 400 inch bull that previously had only killed a calf and a spike. Not saying that Chuck isn't at the top of the game, but a quality lease can make a boner look like a pro.
