A Winter storm blew through Colorado yesterday, and into last night. Went out to feed the Horses, Mule, & Burro this morning to a balmy 18 degrees! I couldn't help but think if this weather stays "cool" how all the backpack hunters might want to stuff an extra pair of wool socks in their packs! Of course if you're going to hunt in a toasty warm wall tent, RV, or motel room, you'll probably love the snow for visibility and tracking, but those that are going to pack in and sleep in a mountain tent might be a bit chilly if this weather holds?
I snapped a few pics here from the safety of the living room. 13,000 ft. Pintada Mt. with it's big snowcap is where I'll be when 2nd rifle season opens up soon!
