Anybody know about any changes to the tentatives in region 1? I havent found anything online, but could be missing it on the site. Hear a lot from 2 and 3 and the breaks but nothing on this area.

Pretty sure they threw in something about either severely cutting doe tags, or not allowing any does to be killed with A tags. Not exactly sure how it was worded, but do remember something along those lines going through. Other than that, I don't think there were any changes.

I was hoping they would run spring bear into first or even second week in June for 103 106 107. Although when I threw out those comments winter was just getting rolling, and since we haven't had a winter this year, I am thinking its going to be good this year.

As far as a know there wasn't any spring bear extensions that far north. My area runs through the end of May now though, pretty excited.
I went for a hike yesterday about three thousand feet above the river. No snow on the south facing stuff still, sunny with little rain showers, and temperatures in the low fifties. Unbelievable. I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see green starting to pop up soon.

If I heard right region one will be bucks only, not sure about bear season in R1, I do know it will run to 6-15 in R2

I can't find it on the website now, but I'm pretty sure the upper bitterroot got extended to June 15th, everything south of I-90 to May 31st, and everything North of that was left at May 15th. My details could be off a little, but I'm pretty sure it was along those lines. I talked to some guys from Seeley this weekend and they were pretty bummed they weren't part of the extension, can't blame them.

Final regulations are supposed to be online next week, so we'll see then.

Randy, was there a big push in the pubic comments for the extension down there? Or was this something the commission/FWP came out with in the tentatives?

Here's the link to the tentative proposal, pretty sure it went through exactly as stated here.

I only went to the Missoula and Superior meetings, and never heard anything in support or against.

I've talked to Jamie Jonkel and Vickie Edwards off and on about it the last couple years, and both said they agreed we needed it, and received lots of comments from hunters suggesting a later/longer season.
