Well this past weekend i joined my dad in a little jaunt up to central Idaho from our hometown of Boise for a little bit of late season elk hunting. We left Boise at around 8:30 Saturday morning and decided to get into our unit by driving up the Kleinschmidt Grade grade in Hells Canyon. Surprisingly enough after leaving what must of been around 8" of snow in Boise, there was not a lot of snow even with the temperature gauge hovering in the low teens throughout the entire trip.

Saw some impressive rutting mule deer to complete the weekend! just wondering if anybody is having luck with their late cow hunts?

I got a late cow tag in the desert in eastern Idaho....in Jan-Feb. Looking forward to it. Best of luck on your hunt.

No luck with cows here in West Central Wyoming either. My buddy and I went out last weekend for opening day and saw nothing but bulls. Go figure!
