Great Falls, MT Tribune comes out against snowmobiles!

"The continued use of snowmobiles in Yellowstone National Park is unacceptable for a number of reasons. Among them:

Air quality
Cars in the park outnumber snowmobiles 16 to 1 each year, but studies show snowmobiles contribute up to 68 percent of the annual carbon monoxide pollution and up to 90 percent of hydrocarbon pollution......"

And 1 of the leading reasons for the introduction of 4 stroke (cleaner burning) snowmobiles.

Of course, it shouldn't even be a question. They should have never been allowed in the park. What do they think it is, a recreational snowmobile park? It's supposed to be all about wildlife and nature and all that good stuff. Why anybody would think that snowmobiles should have the right to ride in Yellowstone I don't know. They have plenty of other places to go.

Ten, That's right! Especially when they have thousands of square miles to ride around in outside the Park that aren't so sensitive. Imagine putting limits on where people can ride loud, smelly, wildlife harrassing, polluting, obnoxious motorized vehicles!
