The group of guys I work with were just saying the same thing. Even yesterday when it was hot and no breeze. Normally a yellow cloud, the mountains were crisp and clean.

Black-capped Chickadees sure don't stop moving very often. A lot harder to take a clear photo than expected.

Do Mallard drakes think that their reflections increase their odds of being found by the hens? They sure use small calm puddles for displaying.

I saw my first two chipmunks of the year. They must have just come out of hibernation. They were both a little sluggish compared to summer behavior.

The April 12th - 13th storm is just winding down. The birds were tucked in out of the wind. One photo actually has 4 birds in it if you look close.

I went out alone with the camera yesterday for more fresh air.
I'm no expert but I believe these are both Song Sparrows not Tree Sparrows (corrected thru more identity research). These birds have bars on the sides of their breast. Tree Sparrows do not. Photos were taken 30 miles apart.
