I wanted to post this picture here of my daughter's recent hunt. More so about the bullet performance just for information.
I know people ask about bullet performance alot.

.243 Winchester with a 20" barrel.
Near max worked up load of IMR 4350
Sierra 100 grain Pro Hunter.
200 yard shot.

I am guessing a year old doe, 100-110 lbs. She spun around, went 30 yards, stumbled around for a few seconds and tipped over.

Entry and exit wounds. Did not gut the animal, but when I retrieved the tenderloins, massive blood was encountered inside. I am presuming that the heart, liver and lungs all got hit with the angle.

If you have the time and or the desire to do so, ya might want to shoot these pics over to Nathan Foster at Ballistic Studies. He lives for this stuff.

Looks like a good shot. Congrats to you and your daughter!

Seen this with 243. They can be a bit frangable. Possibly just hit a rib on the way in and deflected. It did its job and the deer died quickly. Well done
