Just thought this might interest you, a guy rang me in the week, he is getting hammered by roe deer which are eating everything, so next week i will put up a seat and nail one of the little buggers!
Not sure if you have this vegetable in the US, we call them runner beans, and i have already had the jokes in the UK, 'the deer have bean and done a runner'!

Cheers
Richard

Richard, if those are the beans which have bright red blooms, I've only seen them used as ornamentals over here. We do have a version of runner beans, but we don't run them up canes as they do in the UK, but up strings usually, and most everyone I know plants bush beans. Just last year I helped a friend build an 8' fence around his garden plot to keep the deer out. They'd even eat his tomatoes.

Yes they are, the little flowers drop off and the bean grows, they are really tasty if the deer don't get to them first!

If you look in the picture to the right you will see a wooden gate, that leads onto a public footpath which is regularly used by dog walkers, the other boundary has an anti-shooter living there, but i plan on getting fully dressed up in cammo in my high seat and keep my ears open for the public and hopefully nail one next week, if i do i will post up a picture.
Sod's law, the best way would be with an arrow!
Cheers
Richard
