Breaking news! Bundy Ranch real information.

I was just fun'n with you BigRack... I expect we have plenty of differences on public land grazing but I moved back to a place where it rains/snows and prefer to not revisit the issues. Mostly now I worry about nuts like Kerry White and the idiots flocking to Nevada who morphed from the Shovel Brigade to Deadly Weapons Brigade.

...when not selectively obsessing about faux's accuracy.;)

You gotta be kidding me. The local Tea Party guy, purveyor of Communist ideals, Kerry White, wants to talk property rights. What a joke.

The same guy who introduced a bill last session that would require private property owners to secure approval from County Commissioners (his brother is a County Commissioner) in order to sell or donate some of their property rights in anything that his bill would construe as a conservation easement.

Yeah, under his bill, if you owned property, bought and paid for with your own money, you could not do with it as you damned well please, without his brother having veto power over your plans. That's not Socialism, that's flat out Communism. And he was crazy enough to put it in the public record as his bill.

Some of his bills are the closest thing to Communism that I know of in the Montana Legislature. No surprise that he wants to go and support a rancher who has demonstrated zero respect for property rights and wants to conjure up his own property rights out of thin air.

Maybe Kerry White can pass a bill supporting the Bundy's of the world, stating that you cannot evict someone who fails to pay their grazing fees. His bill could then convey the property rights attached/associated with the grazed property to the non-compliant squatter who refuses to leave said property.

That would be right in line with his other Communist, "make by brother the Czar of the World," style of legislation. If he ever tries to tell me he is a property rights advocate, he might want to do so while wearing hearing protection.

It is a sad commentary on the Montana electorate that they will elect a Tea Party guy promoting Communist legislation, and proving each day to be a property rights hypocrite.

Sorry if you took umbrage Rob....
It is getting tiresome Ken, but thank you for making such a claim right after I defended Fox against someone else's claim and (bonus) criticized the media in general. It made proving you wrong a little easier. Maybe you will remember this the next time you feel compelled to voice your misconceptions about what I stand for.

Save the lecture and take a midol.

You can also stick the ignorance remark tough guy.

Looks like our buddies the Koch brothers are getting, or got involved in this thing. Bundy could have just been the tool these boys were looking for.

Two affiliates of the Koch-funded Americans for Prosperity are helping conservative media promote the cause of a Nevada rancher who has made violent threats against the federal government.

looks like Bundy will have all the money in the world to fight this one. He will be very old before he ever sees a jail. This thing will just sit still for years now.

So this is how the Bozeman Daily Chronicle spun the Kerry White facebook post and his plans to go down to Nevada

Montana legislators react to Nevada rancher, federal lands conflict

“This is not about a turtle,” White wrote. “This is about property rights and our food supply. This is about State sovereignty.”

On the same day White posted his travel intentions, the BLM backed down, announcing it would not enforce the court order.

Bundy’s supporters celebrated, and some have vowed to use the same tactics in similar situations around the West.

White canceled his travel plans. He told the Chronicle that he thought the BLM overreacted, and once the BLM backed down, the danger passed. He’s keeping an eye on the situation.

“I was concerned about violence erupting. I had been in contact with some folks close to the Bundy Ranch and told them I’d be willing to go down there to calm the situation and show support,” White said. “As long as nothing escalates, I’ll hold off. But I’m fully prepared to go down if it’s something where I can possibly help.”

White is a member of the legislative Environmental Quality Council, which has met monthly as mandated by Senate Joint Resolution 15 to study the prospect of having Montana take over federal land in the state.

It is no coincidence that Fielder was brought up in this context and it is not simply about federal lands. When she put through those anti wildlife habitat bills last session I looked into her background. I will have to find those files since moving into this place, then I can make the quotes that will show her connection. So much to do today.

What an idiot. The only way Kerry White's presence would have a calming effect would be if he protested via self immolation.

Trump ally arrested; 14 more indicted for Bundy's Nev. siege

Federal authorities today arrested a New Hampshire man and and 11 others after a federal grand jury indicted 14 more people for their roles in Cliven Bundy's armed standoff with the Bureau of Land Management in 2014, marking a major expansion in the government's crackdown on militant protesters of federal land control.
