"In addition to ending the cutting of timber from old-growth forests in the United States in 2004, the company said it will stop buying wood from what they call endangered forests in places such as Chile, Indonesia and Canada once those forests are identified as endangered.

"The company also said it will give purchasing preference to suppliers who use wood from certified forests and will track the origin of the wood products it receives from other suppliers."

Seems like sound planning, it meets economic, ecologic, and social demands.
 
This wouldn't have happened if the Rainforest Action Network hadn't beat Boise Cascade over the head enough with a 2x4. Marvel is doing the same thing to the welfare ranchers (thanks, Gunner) and he's going to win, too!

Looks like I may not have a choice whether or not to use Boise Cascade Products.
